My sister and I went in for a spa day and afternoon tea. The therapist I had was very nice but her direction were over convoluted and sometimes not necessary. The scrub and mud wasn’t applied to all body parts. The therapist my sister had was more to the point and told her at the start what to expect and then didn’t have to give any further instructions, which was a better approach. As part of the sculp massage my therapist also spent a lot of time massaging my ear lobes, which I found a little odd. The therapist my sister had didn’t do this and she really enjoyed the scalp massage. The treatment room was very clean and spacious, as were the spa facilities but the loos didn’t match. We also had the afternoon tea upstarts, which I wouldn’t recommend. The staff wasn’t very knowledgeable and/or accommodating. The scones were dry and cold but the sandwiches were nice.
The waiters had no clue about the menu, they asked us to go to the kitchen and ask the chef questions directly. The table set up was a mess, we asked for still water and the guy presented a sparkling water bottle which was filled with still water. The spa area is tiny so not worth the money. The massage was fine, it was neither amazing nor awful- it was okay.
