The Breakfast and Dinner deal was very good. Much better than a lot of Spa deals where the give you a spending limit (Crewe Hall was £28). This worked much better where you got a set menu to choose from and if you didnt have a supplement dish, there was only your drinks to pay for. The cleanliness of the room could of been improved (room 138). The sofa bed was ripped and had a wine stain on it and they was a large clump of female hair in the trouser press. There was also one of my favourite pet hates: Hair in the bathroom that was not ours!

We stayed on a DBB rate, dinner was lovely and had lots of choice on the menu, generous portions too. Our bedroom was stated on the offer as an upgraded executive room but did actually seem to be just a standard which was okay as it was pretty much just to sleep in. The swimming pool was very busy with children which is understandable as it was a Saturday but when booking a relaxing spa night away you expect it to be slightly more relaxing and we didn't expect it to be so busy- maybe it would be worth going on a weekday instead of the weekend. For what we paid it was overall a good stay.

Spa very nice
Room few things I had issue with
Only 1 large towel
Missing light bulbs
Broken plug sockets
2 single beds pushed together to make double which didn't fit head board
so looked obscure

Lovely place and great value. Happy to have chosen this hotel. Great dinner and breakfast, they take care of quality when serving food. Generous portions as well. Would repeat and recommend.

This is the third time I have been here and it was as fabulous as usual.
Just a few little bug bears.
There was no prosecco behind the bar - it had all run out because of christmas parties in the week. There was no french fries only doorstep chips which were a bit underdone and hard.
We could not sit in the bar because of the noise of cleaning of the pipes.

Hi

This is my third time to Mercure Brandon Hotel and Spa.

The first two times were with my 30 year old daughter. One was in the Summer and the other in the Winter - both times were fabulous - we had good times together we went to the gym had massages and facials which were brilliant - the staff in the bar and the restaurant were lovely and very totally looking after us - no problems at all.

However, this stay with my husband was very different.

We had a stay just before Christmas and our daughters wedding which is on Friday 30th December 2016 to relax before the two big days.

The hotel as always was superb we were upgraded to a lovely room.
The gym as always is brilliant - we love the gym - the sauna, steam room and pool brilliant - the staff as always very helpful.

The bar after the gym, pool etc. we wanted a bottle of Prosecco - nothing available - due to Christmas weekend.
- we did order another bubbly at a more expensive price.

After our swim and gym we ordered a couple of light bites - two meals we wanted were not available and we wanted french fries which were not available so we had to have chunky chips (which were not cooked).

On the evening in the restaurant - the foreign waitress was very loud in shouting the orders to the kitchen - there was only 4 tables on that night so everything could be heard from the kitchen to the table in the restaurant.

I would probably think twice about coming back and probably I could persuade my husband.

The hotel was ok, but i wouldnt rate it as 4 star. My bed in another well known cheaper hotel was more comfortable the night before. Meal was acceptable, although pleased i didnt spend on it as was in my package. The room was clean apart from the bathroom which had a mucky bath and just wasnt nicely finished.

More like a leisure centre than a spa

A lovely spa overnight stay. Friendly staff, wonderful food for both the evening meal and breakfast. Great value for money. The hotel itself set in wonderful grounds although in places a little tired. Having said that there seemed to be decorating going on so all in all could not fault.

The hotel is lovely - in a tiny village so you can really feel detached from modern life. Wifi and data are both good if you want to stream movies though. The spa is in a building next door and the spa rooms are lovely as are the staff. The pool and steam/ sauna are a bit leisure centre though and the could do with being an area with a bit more ambience to relax.

Great location and the treatments were very relaxing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. There aren't many loungers around the pool but the website does state this. The pool was a good temperature and the steam room was very clean and not too overbearing. We did not use the sauna. Lunch! Oh my! Lunch was amazing and ready for us when we went over to the restaurant. The food was sensational. The location was great for us as only a 30minute drive from Northampton. Would definitely recommend.
