overall facilities are okay but the lay out is not the best. one main corridor that has doors to sauna/steam room and relaxation room. the door to the small relaxation room slams as it closes, the kitchen is attached and staff are not quiet when topping up refreshments. you can hear people taking showers or noise outside in the corridor. for use of facilities it's okay but not if you want/need relaxation and quiet
I can't recommend the deep tissue massage at spa old street. The treatment room was dark since their light broke and i couldn't even see the massage chair or my clothes while getting changed. The room was also right next to the hairdryer so instead of relaxing music I listened to people having chats and drying their hair, which wasn't really relaxing. I had several deep tissue massages and the therapist would usually ask you before the treatment if you have any specific points or issues but that chat never happened. So the therapist started the treatment and the first 15 min were great, however the rest of the treatment wasn't what I would call a massage. She didn't even touch the issue area on my back, which was the main reason why I have booked the treatment in the first place. At the end of the treatment, the therapists usually do some stretches but that also didn't happen. Overall I didn't feel much better after the massage which was rather disappointing.
