This is not the first time for me visiting the spa so I know the facilities and are happy with them. Unfortunately this time it was overcrowded nd lost its tranquility. There was people constantly moving around and the quiet room was not quiet. I think they should limit the number of people they let in.
Smaller than we expected and quite overbooked for size of venue. Prefered Butlins spa that was much bigger and far less people. It was clean and staff friendly.
Unfortunately someone was using a Camera phone in the spa – inexplicably. People are barely clothed and this is just entirely unacceptable. Also loud talking in the 'silent' relaxation area.
My two daughters' lime scrub treatment of 25 minutes each was reduced to an able than 15 minutes each, and when I thereafter confirmed it should be 25 minutes, I at least got that myself. But on a hard marble slab which was quite painful with no hole for your head . All a bit of a shame as this was a birthday present for my daughter and when I had been – once – before, treatment was in a proper private room and far more extensive, and for the full 25 minutes . This should be a great local facility and we felt a bit down this time.
It was a great spa experience on a very cold wintery afternoon. The atmosphere is really nice and the facilities are great. A great place for an afternoon in a sauna to warm up. When I bought the package via treatwell, the spa called me almost immediately to book my appointment.
The Treatwell site advertised a particular time/date that was booked through the Treatwell website. Wimbledon Spa then phoned a couple of days before the appointment to inform me that the appointment was cancelled, as they did not have that time slot available. After phone calls back and forth, Wimbledon Spa eventually found an appointment earlier on in the day. It is not acceptable that a product is advertised at a particular time/date, and that time/date is not honoured.
