I booked the Spa Escape package for me an my partner as a fairly last minute surprise getaway. Upon arrival at Luton Hoo the drive up to the main house is very impressive and it feels quite exciting when you pull up to the building. The only downside is that the parking there is very limited but a valet was waiting outside to help direct us to a place we could park. After checking in we drove around to the flower garden area, a newer building where our rooms were. The room itself was a really good size with a huge bed and conveniently located right by the spa and Adam's Brasserie (although it's worth noting that this section of the estate is quite far from the main building shown in all of the pictures so if you're booking this based on the pictures of the old mansion house and manicured gardens you might be disappointed). At the spa we both had a massage which was great before going down to use the pool, jacuzzi and steam rooms, all of which we enjoyed. I particularly liked that you could easily move between the indoor pool area and the outdoor gardens and there were lots of newpapers and magazines laid out next to the sunbeds so it was a very relaxing experience. In the evening we had dinner at Adam's Brasserie which was a bit of an experience in two halves. When we first arrived at the restaurant the waiter was very courteous and quickly took our order. The food for the starter and main course were great however about half way through the meal the service more or less stopped (for lack of a better way to phrase it...). No one came to clear our plates which we didn't notice at first as we were busy chatting but after a while it got a bit ridiculous so I had to call someone over to ask if they'd clear our plates. I also then had to chase several times for someone to bring us desert menus, someone to take our order, ask where the food was, etc... which kind of ruined the evening as we felt like we were being ignored. To be fair to the restaurant after I complained to the head waiter someone did come over and apologise plus waived the cost of the two glasses of wine we'd had during the meal so I wouldn't totally write them off because of this, but to be frank the service in the Adam's Brasserie restaurant didn't match up to the price tag of the experience or the overall ambience of Luton Hoo. If we were to go again it would be worth asking if you could change the meal to be in the other restaurant at the main house, which would also give you the opportunity to spend some time there (which we weren't really able to).

We had a truly wonderful stay at Luton Hoo for our anniversary. The grounds and buildings were stunning and all keep in good order, our room was near the spa in the Flower garden and was clean and very comfortable with a lovely en-suite. There is 167 acres to explore and only a short, but beautiful walk from the flower garden spa area back to the main house via the Lancelot "Capability" Brown designed gardens. (They also run their own 'free' taxi service to take you around the estate should you wish).
We had afternoon tea in the main house and then diner later that night in the beautiful Wernher Restaurant. Every single member of staff were delightful and couldn't have been more welcoming or knowledgeable. The spa had recently been refurbished and from the pool to the treatment rooms was fantastic. My only negative being the golf and this was out of the control of staff and was purely down to the amount of societies out of the course, being a 1 ball I reluctantly had to walk in after 5 holes due to slow play but was given a free round voucher for the inconvenience, which I was delighted with as we shall defiantly be returning to Luton Hoo.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would like to extend our thanks to all the management and there fantastic staff for a truly memorable stay.

This was a really good deal and I cannot complain as they upgraded my bedroom - so in fact my bedroom was amazing. Staff was also pleasant and helpful.
Food wise this hotel is a disaster. For such an expensive and luxurious hotel it should have better food.
The Spa although well maintained is small and not well organized. I came here for the SPA facilities and left disappointed. The spa staff are not as helpful as the rest of the staff. The variety of treatments was also poor for such a luxurious spa hotel.
The best was the fields around the main reception - you could go for walks and relax.

Overall it was an ok experience, but I wouldn't come back and certainly not pay the full price for the room.

The venue's offer is a 5 star luxury experience with 5 star pricing to match. They failed in lots of ways to deliver this experience; e.g. getting dining bills wrong and having a 'system' that made correcting it impossible, forgetting the morning paper, having no staff on hand at the annex accommodation and charging extra for package inclusive breakfast items amongst other things. Overall therefore they did not live up to our expectations or their offer.

All the staff here are incredibly helpful and caring. My girlfriend described the massage as "exceptional". The dinner we had in the Wernher restaurant was amazing too. Had a fantastic weekend and it's so easy to get to.

The spa was wonderfully clean and well kept. The only let down of the break was Adam's Brasserie, which was basically shambolic, but did cause us a fair amount of amusement once we finally sat down for food at 10pm. The room was good, but nothing special.

We enjoyed the beautiful grounds but the food and price does not give you alot of value for your money. I could have gone to spain for it.
