The staff were friendly, and there is a great choice of regular varnish and gel colours. I booked a gel pedicure as i find i always get smudges on normal varnish when i put shoes on, however long i leave them to dry.
First off, the therapist did not ask me if i wanted a 'full' pedicure or just a paint job and cuticle trim, so there was no water used at all for the pedicure, which meant there was no buffing of dry skin, and the cuticle removal / general nail prep of trimming cuticles and skin around the nail was not thorough at all. I can paint my toenails myself, so it is these extra elements that are the reason i paid for a pedicure (not cheap - £48). I was really disappointed they were not included and no one asked me or told me if there was a more thorough level of pedicure available (i had one of the last appointments of the day so there was not time to say anything when i was finished).
The quality of the gels is poor. This is partly because the nails and feet haven't been properly prepped, but also, the paint is not up to the top of the nail and is uneven on some nails.
All in all really disappointing as i liked the staff and the atmosphere in the salon. Not worth just under £50 at all (i get a far better pedicure at Beau Nails in Dalston for about half the price).
I do like coming to Cucumba and the staff are always so friendly. But I find the cost of threading here high. I usually go somewhere that costs me just £4 for eyebrows and thought that by paying more that I would be more impressed but I just wasn't impressed with the value or the outcome.
