Not to keen on leaving bad reviews. However in this instance it is justified.
Firstly the hygienist scheduled on the day was unavailable. Therefore the appointment was slightly delayed to find a replacement. (this wasn’t really an issue as I had plenty of time and I was notified in advance).
Unfortunately the last minute hygienist who did my ‘ classic clean and polish’ treatment seemed rather inexperienced.
Please note I get the same treatment almost twice a year and therefore my teeth are generally in a very good condition. This was also confirmed by the hygienist doing my treatment.I’ve been using Smilepod for over 5 years and 90% of the time I’ve been fairly satisfied. However this was one of the exceptional instances due to the hygienist’s lack of experience.
Firstly she was exerting too much pressure during the scaling/scraping process that my teeth started to hurt.
15 minutes later the treatment was over. I looked in the mirror and my teeth looked no different. There was a lot of deposits/plaque that she failed to remove. I told her my teeth looks exactly the same as it was before and if she could work on removing the superficial deposits. She instantly became quite defensive and said that this was not a polishing treatment. ( it clearly was a cleaning treatment!). I explained to her I get this treatment done often and I’ve never had this experience before.
Anyway she started working on my teeth again.This time she started putting even more pressure on my teeth as she was evidently annoyed and in a rush. Few minutes later she said the treatment is finished. I looked in the mirror and there was still visible deposits remaining.
I left the room completely dissatisfied. It was a total waste of time and money. Please refund my money for such a poor and a terrible treatment!
These guys are great when they aren’t trying to upsell. And on this occasion they weren’t, the gentleman who did my hygiene appointment was very gentle and efficient. Staff all friendly. Thanks to all.
