I went for Shellac nails for the third time, but won't be going back for a few reasons. First of all, the color selection is very poor: there is an abundance of bright green and blue polishes (which, if it's your thing great, but I would never pick those colors for myself); the 'classic' colors (red, burgundy, pale pink, nude) is either nonexistent or empty and thus the lady will tell you to pick something else, back to square one. I went for a darker red (but with a metallic finish, which i'm not a huge fan of). Secondly, the heater was broken and both the staff and I were cold... I can't imagine how people going for massages or waxing do it..? Lastly, the polish must have been old because it has already peeled off on some nails and it's only been eight days!
My overall experience at Skin and Tonic has gotten worse every time I go.
I got Shellac nails done - the lady who did my nails did a good job overall but she painted the polish too close to the cuticles, touching them and it didn't look very professional. However, she was really nice. I will book Bilkiss next time, she did a great job the first time I went to Skin & Tonic.
