I have a leg injury, which I indicated when I booked, so I chose a 'relaxing' aromatherapy massage. It was far from relaxing. At the very start the therapist jammed her knee deep into my pulled hamstring. And later on she used hot stones without any warning at all. It was difficult to communicate with her as her English was quite basic - so I was on edge most of the time. If she had been properly briefed at the start, it wouldn't have been at all that bad.
While my massage itself wasn't a relaxing one, it was exactly what was needed and as described. My massage therapist knew exactly how to release tension, before I even voiced anything, she knew what to do and where I was hurting. She listened to any adjustments on pressure that I requested and moved on from any area that I found too tender(I'm quite a wimp about pain). The next day I felt a big change and will definitely return.
