It was my first visit to Shrine. I struggled to book an appointment with one of the senior stylists as she only works part time. I managed to get an appointment, and in general everything was very good. The salon and staff are professional and nice. I was very happy with my treatment and with my haircut. I would probably ho again.
I originally went to Shrine earlier this year as part of a Wahanda deal and have been back 3 or 4 times since. I have never had a problem getting an appointment and they have 20% off for students on Wednesdays which makes it a little more affordable than most top salons. I have my haircut with Monix who is always very friendly and chatty and makes you feel like a special customer every time as she remembers so much about you and what you have previously told her.
I struggled to find the venue although it's actually on the main road. The therapist was really nice and helpful but I'm not sure if I liked haircut. For the first 2 days my hair looked as it needed some treatment really, my hair looked dry. I'm not sure if I go there again :-(
A small salon in Headingly. The staff were really friendly and chatty. I was really happy with the colour of my hair and the conditioning treatment was fab. Would definitely go back again.
I had a really good experience at Shrine. I had paid for a deal that included a consultation, conditioning treatment and haircut / finish with the salon director, Monix.
The place is well situated, attractive, welcoming and friendly. The staff were all unpretentious and totally professional.
Monix took the time to listen carefully to my hair problems (many!) and understood completely what I needed, we talked through everything before I had my hair conditioning treatment and then she cut my hair. It was excellent and really amazing value for money. I will definitely be returning.
