The ask was quite simple, i only got my hair cut in the end (so no wash, because my hair was already damp).
I had to be really instructive about what I wanted. Even then i dont think the lady fully did what i wanted.
It was fine. Overpriced in the end for what it was.
The same lady did the facial and the manicure. She barely spoke English, didn’t understand what I said to her, and couldn’t explain herself (or the treatment) to me.
Facial - there was no discussion of the treatment beforehand, and the lady was very quick to say she “knew” that I had super sensitive skin when I mentioned it, and quite abruptly said “I can see that” when I said I’ve been having a few spots. The treatment she gave me was so harsh that even after applying moisturiser (which I had to ask for) my skin felt very dry - which of course is concerning because I have sensitive skin. But I asked repeatedly and she ensured it was fine for sensitive skin.
Nails - I explained the shape I wanted but again she had trouble understanding, so I ended up asking for the absolute minimum because I knew i’d have to do a bit of fixing at home.
In terms of ambiance, the other staff members sat in the salon either looking bored on their phones, or having private conversations which shouldn’t happen when customers are around.
What I booked to be a relaxing treat, turned out to be incredible stressful and disappointing. If I could get a refund on both treatments, I would.
