My first brazilian blowdry - an extremely unpleasant experience, staff were polite but very perfunctory, not particularly friendly and I didn't feel like they cared about hair, and as another reviewer mentions they seemed a bit unprofessional. It certainly wasn't a pampering or enjoyable experience and I felt uncomfortable and unhappy throughout. As previous reviews mention, my hair was brushed and blow-dried extremely roughly with lots being ripped out and broken (aargh!) (I normally use tangle teezer-much better). The product stung my eyes and scalp badly and the fumes were awful, but that isn't the staff's fault and I'm sure is similar wherever you get it done.
Worst of all my scalp was repeatedly and severely burnt during the blowdrying stage to the point that I had tears in my eyes and was shaking, I am at fault for not speaking up more and expressing how badly it was hurting, but the staff member was not particularly approachable and I just wanted it all to be over as quickly as possible by then. It was the most painful thing I have ever had done to me (I've had 3 root canals at the dentist that didn't come close) I felt quite shaken up and unwell for the rest of the day after the appointment and my scalp was very sore - it has now been about 10 days and all the burns on my scalp are peeling a lot resulting in huge flakes of very unsightly dandruff throughout my hair, very embarrassing. It is also itchy and still slightly tender.
Finally, my fringe was blowdried really badly so it was sticking up weirdly - it is not ok to walk out of a hairdressing salon looking like that.
I am pretty happy with the results of the brazilian blowdry which has made my hair very low maintenance and is a great treatment. I'm not sure it was worth the trauma and pain I went through to get it though. I might get it done again but I would definitely, 100% go to a different salon.
Worst haircut I've ever had. Had to book another straight away to sort out the uneven cut. Staff were unprofessional (sitting on tables, playing on phone & caring more about the playlist than the customers...).
The therapist and the massage was great. 30mins but really effective. My only reservation was the noise - as many others have commented, there is a lot of noise from the salon upstairs. A CD playing relaxing music would be enough to cover the worst of it but deafening silence makes every noise very audible.
