Hi Everyone my name is Suzan, have been to the Backstage L.A. three times the last 6 months. I had my hair colour done 2 times, the last time I try Brazilian Blow Dry and I`m absolutely satisfait. For my this is the one of the top place in London and I will recommended to all of my friends.
I went in for the Brizilian blow dry a few days ago, which was on a groupn deal and I had the worse experience ever! After reading the mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, when you go in it actually looks like a quite nice and decent place. The receptionist was very welcoming, she explained all the procedures and mentioned I MAY need to pay an additional £10 for my hair because it is long and thick, I agreed to this because I didn't really think much of it! To be honest my hair isn't extremely long, just up to my waist but it is thicker than most people's hair, despite this I don't understand the attitude I have to receive just because my hair takes longer to do! I was surprised by the lazy and unpleasant attitude, after all I thought this is what hairdressers do for a living sort out people's hair regardless of whether it is short or long. Half way the woman said that I would have to pay £10-20 extra because my hair is longer and thicker, changing their so called price just made me angry and I said this wasn't mentioned before I made the booking and she gave me a copy of the groupon voucher which stated there will be an additional £10 charge so I said yeah fine I'll pay the £10 (looking at my voucher I can't find anything about an additional £10!!!). However when it was time to pay I was asked to pay £20 and I just could not be bother to argue in front of all their customers! It's not just the fact they're a bunch of thieves, I had already paid £60 towards the voucher why the hell did I need to pay £20 more? Also when the lady was cutting my fringe I mentioned specifically do NOT cut it really short! What did she do? Yes she cut it short! It was practically sticking up, she had to use a hair spray to tame it!
I was appalled by their behaviour and I would never recommend this place to anyone! I thought the whole point of putting these offers on websites such as groupon is to increase customers - well they've done a great job!
Please do not go to this place! not worth your time or money!
Visited this salon last week for Brazilian Blowout Treatment (with Groupon voucher). The salon was clean, neat & tidy, the staff were super-friendly & made it a very pleasant experience.
Very pleased with the Brazilian treatment, the salon & the stylists. 10/10!
I went the BackstageLA for a Groupon offered Brazilian Blowdry in April 2011. They did an excellent job and I would go back to this salon. I have done a number of Groupon Brazilian Blowouts at various salons in London and I liked Bankstage LA a lot. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was prompted to write this review because of another review warning of a Groupon scam and to avoid this salon. My experience was great and I am hoping Backstage LA does another Groupon offer!

Don't just take your business elsewhere, tell all your friends and let all of London know that this place is to be avoided.
Please take notice of what emmyemmy my said and just don't go here. They have disabled the reviews in allinlondon.com because they were all so bad. I am very suspicious that the two good reviews are plants by staff.
Rude, incompetent, and taking groupers for a ride. Had to wait for ages for a sub standard haircut which I immediately went to Toni and guy to get fixed, they are horrifically bad.
