The therapist was lovely and made me feel relaxed at the start of the treatment, but I came home and found two big red burn marks on my face. 1 day later and they are still visible and sore. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back as I don’t want to get marks on my face again. I’m hoping the marks will start to fade and won’t scar. I have had microdermabrasion before at another salon and did not come away with any red/ burn marks. I think the therapist was being a bit rough during the treatment. Otherwise I enjoyed the treatment!
Never in my 10+ years of getting professionally waxed have I had such an awful experience that I felt the need to leave a bad review. The therapist was unthorough, careless and cold - she did not make me feel comfortable at all.
From the first moment I stepped into the salon and said I had booked an appointment via Treatwell, the first thing she said was 'I can't tell who you are from that' rather than to ask me my name politely.
Onto the wax itself. The salon doesn't trim which is apparently due to health and safety. I must ask, if we can't trust them with a small pair of scissors, why should we trust them with hot wax? In my experience it should be part of the package. But fine. That I could have overlooked, if the rest of the wax wasn't such a disaster. I was left with rogue hairs, globs of sticky wax residue, and worst of all - a landing strip which looks more like a random patch of hair. The overall result looks like I had tried to do it myself with a blindfold on. I had to go home and attempt to salvage what I could myself. The most careless job I've had the misfortune of experiencing. 0/10 would not recommend.
