This is a difficult review to write because all the others I have read have been really positive, so I'm not sure why my experience was so different. I booked to go right before my holiday, and this was my first time to selfish - I'd read the reviews and that's why I chose this place.
However I was unhappy with the environment in terms of the staff interactions with each other and my actual treatment too.
I quite like a peaceful calm experience when having my nails done, especially after a day at work. I don't expect complete silence but I also don't expect to be surrounded by so-called professionals airing their views/opinions in an inappropriate manner. The staff were talking about their boss and a serious of whatsapp messages that they were having and to be honest it just wasn't professional. They clearly had "banter" with each other - did I want to hear that?? Nope! Was my manicurist interested in me?? Nope! Did she pay attention?? Nope! And then one of them was actually on her phone talking to someone whilst giving someone else a pedicure - appalling service in my opinion.
And then my gel nails - she did a good job of my cuticles and helped me to make a colour decision, but the application was poor. Two of my nails were lumpy so a week later I went somewhere else to have them removed because I couldn't cope with the poor quality any more.
Would I go back?? Nope!
The staff are always very helpful and welcoming and the wax is the least painful I have ever had.
