The treatment area for pedicures are stuck behind loud, hot tanning machines which means you cannot relax. There are no pedicure chairs and foot spas; just a normal plastic chair and a home spa set. This was very disappointing.
On the other hand Staff member was very polite and took her time and care.
Pedicure
I had a rushed 5 minute Hollywood wax that was the most painful ive ever had. The lady ripped the skin if my labia during waxing and left me bleeding badly. She did not remove all of the hair and just said she couldn't get it all. She got wax all over my stomach and my hands and then only offered me a couple of cotton wool pads with a little cream to clean myself up. I tried to wash my hands in the sink but there was only a drop of watered down soap. I left and rushed home to clean myself up properly and to deal with the injury I had been left with. Do not go here, I would be very surprised if they are properly qualified.
I had a wax here before I went on my holiday to Ibiza. I chose the hot wax treatment which I have had at many salons before and has been virtually pain free. This was the most painful wax I have ever had, my skin was extremely red and bleeding after the treatment, areas of my skin looked burnt because the wax was far too hot. I had to pluck a lot of hair out myself at home because the beautician had missed so much hair. I also asked at one point what the wax was made of and the woman said she had no idea, and that it was just 'hot wax.' Really think members of staff should have more awareness about what products they are using on clients. Really awful experience.
I really rate this lovely local salon. Its always busy so be sure to book. Friendly and professional staff. Venue is clean and modern. Would recommend.
