Very disappointed! I asked for a trim, a VERY basic cut. The hairdresser had other ideas. My hair is naturally very straight and not a difficult hair type to style. The stylist didn't listen to what I wanted and at one point asked me to stand up while he trimmed. I went in with quite long hair and now it's shoulder length at best. It's wonky, very blunt and very square with some horrendous 90s layers in the front. It's the worst haircut I have ever had and I've bought some dodgy groupons in the past. It doesn't sit right and it's shorter at the back. I honestly don't know how to fix it but I'm dubious to go back incase they do a worse job in trying to fix it. I said that I wasn't happy but they were closing and after my complaint that it wasn't really what I wanted the stylist just walked away. Currently crying! There is nothing worse, I am ashamed to wear my hair down. Not a good experience at all.
Overall a very good experience. The highlights in particular are great; the stylist really listened to what I wanted and I am very pleased with the results. The cut is fine but perhaps a little too 'sharp' - I asked for a looser, more layered style - but beautifully dried. The salon itself felt a bit weird - there is a vast space in the basement which is used for teaching but was closed and dark on Saturday, but I could see down into it, so it felt a bit dead. The staff were great - when they had a busy moment which coincided with washing my colour off, they gave me a complimentary conditioning treatment while I waited.
I have been going to Sanrizz in the Brunswick Centre since their opening and have never had a bad experience, which quite rare, taking into account the amount of times that I have been going there. That salon belongs to the top range but as such you do not feel the 'air of self-importance' or negativity of a 'posh' salon there. The staff are friendly, always, and the satisfaction from the being there is good, consistently. Your hairdresser will always listen to what you would like to be done, or if you are not sure what you'd like to do with your hair and/or how to get a bit of a change in your looks, be sure that they will advise you on that. I have changed my hair style, and love it. They also run promotional offers and once you have visited them, they will simply text you their offers. My most favourite stylists are Rudy and Lauren, they are amazing, try them and you will not be disappointed. Rudy is also doing my little one's hair and he is absolutely amazing with kids! I hope that these people will keep up their standard as it's great and I am happy that I have my local amazing hairdressers! :)
Friendly and polite staff, attractive and clean salon. Lovely head massage with the wash and a good, straightforward cut, as I requested. I wasn't there for anything fancy - it was a very satisfactory visit and my hair looked and felt great afterwards.
I can't say this was a good experience and I have no intention of going there again. On arrival I was kept waiting 20 minutes before I even met my stylist. Then I got a rather rough shampoo and was taken to my stylist's chair where I was made to wait 10 more minutes. The stylist was nice enough but he took 1 hour and 30 minutes to give my lengths the most invisible of trims and then he cut my fringe much too short: half-way up my forehead in spite of me saying clearly that I wanted it just above the eyebrow when dry. A month later, I'm still growing out this disastrous fringe... Even at a discounted price, this salon is really best avoided.
