I arrived there on the dot, and I even rang to tell the venue. I was sent up stairs on my own, but no one wanted to take me through to the treatment in a hurry. I was collected by the therapist who told me to wait upstairs around 11.06am, when it was meant to start at 11 anyway. So the treatment didn’t start until 11.10 by the time I got undressed. The actual massage was great I really can’t fault that. But I felt I couldn’t properly relax. There was loud chatting outside the room between colleagues and the beds weren’t comfortable. The actual room was nice though. When the massage had finished I was thinking that was quick! It was meant to be a 25 minute long massage and to my horror, I looked at the clock to see the time was 11.25! It didn’t start till 11.10! I was basically paying £20 for a 15 minute massage. I feel like because I was probably a similar age, in my late 20s, that I wouldn’t say anything. This wasn’t the case. I come from a beauty and customer service background myself and this wasn’t acceptable. I also used to work at Liz Earle, so I’m used high standard and professionalism. We used to take clients upstairs to the reception and make them feel welcomed and at home prior to treatment. When I got back downstairs. I politely asked how long the treatment is meant to be. The therapist replied “It’s meant to be 25 minutes” I said well it finished at 11.25 and it didn’t actually start till 10 past. She shrugged at me and said “erm I can offer you 20% if you like” which obviously I took up the offer which I appreciated but it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable in front of her peers. I knew as soon as I walk out the door I’d be discussed about! I’m gutted, I felt I wasn’t treated with value as a customer and thus, won’t be returning for any massages again. It’s a shame because the massage was great but ny therapist, Beth wasn’t friendly at all to me, there was not even an apology.

The therapist who did my LVL lashes was genuinely nice and really put me at ease. Although I didn’t like having my eyes closed and having people walk in and out around me and not being able to see what was going on, I think treatments like that should be done in a private room. The facial wasn’t what I was expecting, I was expecting a more thorough analysis about my skin not just that my skin is oily/dehydrated. Although the therapist did recommend different dermalogica products to use and how to use them the treatment just wasn’t what I was expecting. I booked an hour session instead of a half an hour session so we could really talk about my skin but I found the therapist to be quite abrupt. The therapist also put the oils into my hair which was probably part of the treatment but it left me feeling greasy instead of refreshed and also meant that I had to go home and shower instead of carrying on with my day. I wasn’t offered a drink and I was there for 3 hours and didn’t get chance to bring one with me. After the lvl lash treatment I was taken straight to get my facial done. I was given a form to fill out but I could barely see it because I’d just had the lvl treatment done and my eyes were still adjusting. I get that they probably had to fit everything in to get things done on time but the whole experience was not relaxing like it should have been and felt very rushed.
