The hairdresser Paul is quite amazing to say the least. He will listen to you and understand how you need your hair dressed. The place also is quite well located and the ambiance is perfect. I would rate it 5 stars and would certainly recommend it.
lovely ladies in there. great treatment although was a bit annoyed with the strange man that rang me requesting to change my appointment to another day. He called me at 8pm at night which I was rather unhappy about. (I think the owner) he's a bit weird.
OMG! I thought I'm about to cry... My hair are caramel coloured and I wanted to do the roots(I'm med brunette). My roots are still dark brown!!!! My friend recommended and said about 25% off on Mon Tue so I called them to confirm (my friends has done full head 3 times for 27£) and they said yes it's normally from 35£ so with the discount will be 25£. I arrived, I confirmed the price and I said that I want exactly the same colour roots as the rest. She started picking the shames way too red for me which got me concerned already, because my hair are honey/caramel. I explained last time the 3 colours were mixed. So all 3 staff went to seperate room for 15min leaving me alone, when I asked if everything is ok they said they are still mixing the colours!! She put it on and then assistant washed it off but I had to wait another 15 min to get them blow dried as all the ladies got busy with serving other customers and didn't come back to me until they finished with them, left me waiting again. All the service tool 2 hrs !!!! and I've got done only the roots which are still visible. When I said I'm not happy they are too dark and not matching , the hairdresser said it will wash off ;/! She wouldn't listen! Then I've noticed in the card that the roots are for £25 and I've challenged them for the discount, the hairdresser Val said they can't give me discount, on the card it says 20% for students so I've pointed out and she asked me for the card, which I didn't have on me because my friends got it anyway , they are not a students. The other lady, who agreed prices still insisted it's 25 after discount already! I hate my hair, when I keep them up I look like dark brunette and the rest is sun kissed caramel, I had so many compliments about the colour and now its not even starting with 5cm dark brown. I won't come back as I'm scared she will spoil it even more. I wanna cry!!!! Oh and the towels were dirty and you could see the remainings of ppl's hair on the products! disgusting!
I'll start this review by saying I'm really happy with the way my hair turned out. The cut is wonderful and I'm really pleased with it. The blowdry wasn't exactly what I wanted but, as any girl with wavy hair will tell you, it is very rare that a hairdresser actually does do my hair exactly how I like it and I did still like what the hairdresser did. The salon isn't fancy but it's clean and pleasant. The staff are lovely as well. If it wasn't for the below problems on booking, this would have been a wonderful experience. Booking my haircut did not go well. I booked through Wahanda and didn't receive a confirmation email. Two days before my appointment, I emailed the salon (no response) and phone them as well (nobody picked up and no answering machine to leave a message) to try and find out what was going on. Then, the next day (and less than 24 hours before my appointment), I received an email from Wahanda saying my appointment needed to be rearranged and a voicemail from the salon asking me to confirm my appointment....?!? I managed to get hold of the salon on the phone and they told me they had decided to move my appointment to later on in the day. As I couldn't do the time I had been moved to, I told them I really wasn't happy and, to their credit, they managed to fit me in at my original time. So, like I said, this was a really good experience except for the booking process!
To be honest I didn't enjoy my visit to the salon. The lady who did my hair was almost 25 minutes late and didn't listen to what I wanted; I came prepared with pictures of the type of haircut- side fringe with face framing layers but she insisted that it would not work with me and just cut a tiny bit of hair. In all honesty I couldn't notice the difference in haircut. The colour was nice but overall the visit was stressful. Won't be going back.
