Booked in for a Elemis massage and since these treatments are quite expensive I was looking forward to some quality pampering. The receptionist and the masseuse were friendly and the place looked clean to begin with.
Unfortunately:
1. Oily dirty tissue paper found on the massage bed . Asked the masseuse if she could change it , she was quick to respond and ripped off the dirty part without replacing it, so my face ended up in direct contact with the bed/head rest.
2. Wasn’t aware this full body massage include a facial one ( it wasn’t mentioned in the description) and it was very uncomfortable when oil was unexpectedly applied to my face.
3. Instead of warming the oil in hands first , the product was directly drizzled onto my skin and head. My hair was left greasy.
4. Masseuse missed a lot of pressure points. She didn’t seem to be able/aware of the amount of pressure needed for different parts of the body (even after specific requests).
5. The masseur was coughing occasionally and didn't wear a mouth mask.
I finished feeling more stressed than before, with my hair stuck together like a scarecrow and my skin greasy with oil . To be fair, the masseus was polite and offered me a dry towel to dry up myself and a glass of water after the treatment. However, for the price I would have expected a more competent therapist and a much more relaxing experience.
