Great pedicure, although a little rough at times (it has been a long time since my last pedi). Felt really looked after. Would go back.
Great place, I have been coming here for massages for several years. The Thai massage treatment can be a bit brutal, but you definitely feel better for it afterwards! Staff are always very helpful and polite.
The booking through Wahanda had not been received or recorded by Ruen Thai, so I had to wait for someone to come free (about 20 minutes). The massage was very good, and there are showers to wash down afterwards.
Would definitely come here again, good value for money and all staff were very friendly. Pedi and mani were done well.
I hate being negative, but this was absolutely the WORST mani pedi I have EVER had, including the awful ones I've given to myself. My pedicure alone took forever, 1 hr 20m, given the whole treatment time for both a mani & pedi is, and should be, 1h30m. It was unnecessarily painful at times, sloppy throughout and just so painfully slow given how bad the treatment was. There is no evidence of sterilisation of the tools at this salon, everything just comes out of tray and then it goes back in, so god know who's foot germs are now on my own?! There was no blade, pumice or foot file used on hard skin, just that awful cheese grater device that makes your skin rough and jagged. The paint job wasn't great either. Colour choice is minimal and the quality, well there is a small selection of Essie and OPI, but most look dried out, the rest is Revlon. I gave up on the manicure half way through as most of my nails were just filed completely off and left jagged, there was no moisturising and I couldn't be bothered to sit through another sloppy paint job, especially I was sat in the pedicure chair with my arm stretched across me, the salon was empty I don't know why I couldn't sit at a mani table, or at the very least the lady move round to the other side so I wasn't so uncomfortable. Luxury problems I know, it wasn't torture, but it was a pretty terrible for something that is meant to be a treat! If you're looking for a mani pedi in the area go to Go Glam on Tachbrook Street, they're wonderful, the place is so cheerful and its £5 cheaper too. Thought I would try something closer to home, you live and learn. I will say that the ladies were very lovely and were trying, but nails are clearly not something they've been trained to do.
