I went for a cut and hair colour. I do not think the hair colour was done professionally. My hair was long and my usual hairdresser always dye my hair with foil so as not to stress the hair too much. The hairdresser at JR Studio did not do so & only use a direct brush onto my hair. Care was not taken so that a lock of hair fell on my forehead. I had to ask them to wipe the dye off my forehead.
I sat there for 45 mins waiting for my hair to colour. The result : uneven colour and hair feels dry. I can achieve better result with a home job Loreal Perfect 10. I wont go here again, not even if it's free.
I used my Treatwell voucher for my treatment at JR Studios.
The location was good but I do not think I was made welcome. I had a coat on but noone asked to take it from me and it was on the chair where I sat. It was uncomfortable and I had to move it myself.
I selected an all over colour and chose a mid brown but the result turned out to be rather dark.
The sylist didnt speak any English so there was not conversation.
There were notices on the windows asking for models so I wonder if the person dealing with my hair was actually a trainee as there were only two people in the salon.
The salon could have done with a good clean as there was dust on every surface.
Wasnt very impressed and will not be going back there..
Received a rather frosty reception from hairdresser, who improved gradually during the appointment. Glass of fizz was a nice touch but a little flat. Resulting haircut was very good though, with care taken over the blowdry for a sleek finish.
The facilities are lovely albeit small. The treatment I had is painful and not sure about the results. Also for a cellulite treatment I was only offered one side of my legs not both as I wrongly assumed I could have done.
