A very small salon with not much relaxation. Waiting room in a tiny room where someone's having a treatment done. Staff lovely though and very pleased with manicure
I refuse to get my wax done by anyone else! Rose is fantastic. People are popping up left right and centre trying to offer the same fantastic service but there is only one Rose! Make sure you're at the right salon (145A Praed St)
The Lycon wax really helps to make the experience as quick and painless as possible.
Little salon in a basement opposite Paddington station. It was a bit tricky to find as there's no A board or door sign - just a small 'salon' sticker next to the buzzer - and you have to buzz for entry.
Rosa, the salon owner, was lovely but my nails were actually done by one of her employees (who, because of the door set up, had to keep getting up to let people in and out) who was a sweetheart but whose English was limited, and Rose didn't stay for the whole appointment, so the atmosphere was pretty transactional. I can't fault the value - the nail technican did an amazing job and gave my the best cuticle-tidy I've ever had!
My appointment time was changed twice, once online and once by phone. No problem for me but it would have been nice to have the changes acknowledged/explained once I got to the appointment.
Overall, a good experience and I would go back for a last-minute, late-night appointment and be confident in what I was getting - but I wouldn't seek the salon out if my usual one was available, just down to the transactional atmosphere.
the service was good however felt a bit over-charged with last minute Christmas prices being higher than normal and only being told at the point of payment
