Upon entering, I was asked to lay down on a chair. The therapist turned away for a second to gather her materials and when she turned back around to face me, straight away applied the wax to my eyebrows. I’ve been to other eyebrow waxing places before for the same price. They usually test the temperature of the wax on your hand first, and not to mention, ask what kind of eyebrow shape you want to get done - I would think that these would be the basics to any waxing treatment. I was really appalled but it was too late as the damage was done from that first waxing.
I then proceeded to tell and show her a picture of what I wanted my eyebrows to look like. She barely looked and said okay. At the end, it looked nothing like what I wanted, but what she wanted. She kept saying that they were beautiful anyway but that is besides the point. I had to ask her to make a few amendments which she did not clarify to understand and kept waxing her own way until I told her that I wanted them more similar to hers. When all was finally done, she pulled on my skin with tweezers twice accidentally. Not a huge deal + she apologized but they were painful. At the end of the day, I left the salon with much thinner eyebrows and small spots of internal bleeding. Usually after doing my eyebrows, I don’t need to spend as much time drawing them in the morning. But now it takes me longer than when my eyebrows are unkempt...
The salon has such good reviews, so I am really quite disappointed. Will not be returning again unfortunately.
