I have been attending this shop for a number of years now and I usually stick to the Manager or the Manager's next in line but this Saturday I needed a treatment and neither the Manager or her next in line was in.
I proceeded to book an appointment and that was the first step in my mistake.
When I got to my appointment I had doubts and thought maybe I should re-book my appointment for next week. But I have been waxing for 3-4 years so I thought 'man up, it'll be fine'.
That was the second step in my mistake.
My treatment began and it was one of the worst experiences I have had at the shop.
I had a heavy handed therapist who was using too much wax, the wax was toooooo hot and when removing the wax she was very hesitant and it ended up being an UNNECESSARILY painful experience - was not good at all.
If I had not been coming to this shop for so long, based on this experience, I would look for another waxing shop.
I have learnt my lesson and I will only be booking with the Manager and her next in line moving forward.
