Little cosy place in the heart of Tooting Broadway Market, with great vibe and the staff / owners had so many years of experience that showed off on the service. I had a wave perm plus cut there and will definitely go back!
Little tip: it's always worth call to double check if the booking has went through! :-)
I decided to try this place out after walking past it in Tooting Market, so I knew what I was getting myself into ahead of time, in terms of the look and location of the salon. I think it would be tricky to find if you hadn't been to the market before. Overall I'm happy with the cut, and Rhonay was very polite and I felt like he knew what he was doing. The price was also good value. I wouldn't recommend going there if you're looking for a 'salon experience', it's a small place with one hairwashing area and two haircutting areas. I wasn't offered a drink or anything like that when I arrived, I don't mind about that but some people might! I also quite liked seeing stuff going on in the market behind me in the mirror! The only thing I didn't really like was that when I arrived, Rhonay was cutting someone elses hair, and so his mother (who he works with there), immediately took me over and started washing my hair. That meant I didn't get chance to have a chat with him about what I wanted while my hair was still dry and he could kind of see what it was like. He didn't start that chat until after my hair was washed. Also, when it came to blow drying my hair, he said he would recommend blowdrying it straight so I could 'see the style' but I like to have the full hairdresser volumised blow dry experience when I get my hair cut so I said I would prefer that instead! The girl before me hair her hair just dried straight and it was flat as a pancake!
