The facilities available were good, but we were really disappointed that the jacuzzi wasn’t working (which seems to be a regular thing, judging by other reviews!) and cleanliness was generally very good. My friend and I both agreed that our massages were the best we’d had - our therapist was brilliant and clearly very experienced! If you’re looking for a super relaxing spa day, you could probably find one elsewhere with less of a hotel leisure centre ambience and for better value, but all in all we were pleased with what was on offer.
Beautiful venue, when we got there we were directed to the spa who said that the pool was closed which was unfortunate since we booked the relax and revive treatment. However the lady and massouer behind the desk was really apologetic and gave us longer on our treatment to make up for it - so customer service was absolutely excellent, the only issue was the pool. Also I mentioned one of the party was gluten free and that didn’t seem to be taken into account on the standard club lounge lunch deal, but not a huge issue. Overall, really good experience
Nice
The spa receptionist that took my booking was curt to the point of rudeness and as he was not sure what my voucher was for assumed it was for a half day spa experience. On checking in on the day with a female receptionist,I discovered it was for a full day spa experience so was annoyed to have lost half a day. Nevertheless the female receptionist was very helpful, explained that I could have lunch and asked me what time I would like it. Unfortunately this request did not make it to the kitchen, so I waited half an hour (hats off to the waitress who was very apologetic) in my ill fitting gown in what was called the spa lounge, although several people in anoraks came in and helped themselves to coffee and biscuits, spoiling the ambience. The facial was sublime, I just think that the experience did not work as a relaxing break as it was all a bit haphazard. Would not pay for it myself.
Would recommend the treatments
