Dennis instantly put my 3 year old at ease when he was having his hair done. He chatted with him sensitively and with good humour. We had a good time and will definitely be coming back! Recommended!

Siraka is an incredibly knowledgable stylist, who cut my hair exactly as I asked. She kept the length that I asked for and cut layers in, all while providing a friendly service. Nice salon with a homely welcoming feel.

The 'retro' in this salon's name seems less about their expertise than about the social attitudes of the owner, who gave me a 25-minute rundown of his ill-informed opinions on trans and nonbinary people (and "the gays", and "the Scots") while I was captive in the salon chair.
Re: the service, I asked for Hollywood waves & came out looking like I was wearing a motorcycle helmet - and was charged extra for having thick hair.
This is no safe space for the LGBTQ+ community or people with hair.

Excellent haircut from Sandy! So happy with the results, Sandy is lovely and was patient as we trimmed my bangs to the right length and the salon has a great aesthetic. Will definitely be back
