Unfortunately although everyone was nice and attentive even though i was a bit late, i wasn't satisfied from the work performed. Neither the shape nor the application of nail polish, Do not know how long it will last but i do not feel the same as in other venues.
Lovely salon and a real gem of a find in the Olympic Village. Staff were extremely friendly on arrival and I left very happy with the results. I booked for an express, but the lady who did my nails went above and beyond what I booked and also gave me a full manicure and pedicure, all because she told me she wanted me to leave with my nails looking as nice as possible (how's that for superb customer service!?) I'll definitely be going back. Thanks again Regency Beauty!
Got a 'full' pedicure last week. Convenient for me as I live near Stratford and quite a decent place for East London. The decor is really nice but personally I prefer a 'spa atmosphere', candles, spa music, the works...The lady who conducted my treatment was nice but didn't speak a lot of English as I asked her if she could make the water warmer, (I find it comforting to soak tired feet in warm water) and if she could add paraffin wax to my treatment but I don't think she understood what I was saying. The 'full pedicure' included a scrub, massage, soak, file and polish. Reading their website afterwards I realised they offer a express, full and 'luxury' pedicure. The luxury pedicure is not promoted on wahanda so perhaps that's the one I was hoping to experience as they only used a normal foot file for my treatment and I would have preferred an electric foot file to remove the hard skin bits on my heels and leave me with a soft baby feet type of feeling. Overall it was a good experience, not excellent or luxury but the cost is value for money for this level of treatment so it will probably be my place to go to in between my once-in-three-month luxury pedicure place that costs me a fortune.
Me and my friend were running 10 minutes late because when we typed in the salon into Citymapper it said the salon was in completely the opposite direction towards Maryland station. We called the salon as soon as we realised however the receptionist/therapist said that she might not be able to fit us both in, which was fair enough considering we were late but she was really rude about this. When we got there, we received the most unfriendly welcome I have ever received at a salon, she didn't even smile or say hello and treated us like we were a nuisance despite us apologising for being late. While my friend was getting ready for her wax, the therapist gave me another lecture about being late and told me not to do it again - at this point I wanted to leave as we had already apologised and we were just following directions that unfortunately were wrong. When it was time for my wax, she was so patronising and unfriendly - she told me to put my legs up, but I've found that therapists ask you to do different positions depending what salon you go to so when I apparently did the wrong thing, she laughed and said 'Are you sure you've been for a wax before?'. When she asked me to hold/stretch the skin she said 'I need to be able to see what I'm doing'. The wax was okay but was left sticky and wasn't trimmed down so felt like the job wasn't finished properly because of her attitude. Loved the salon, hated the experience - would only go back if I didn't have the same therapist, she made me feel so uncomfortable while I was having a treatment that makes everyone feel vulnerable.
Great experience. Staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable.
