I have had a Hollywood wax in this salon previously, and it was great, which is why I chose to come back again - but I'm disappointed that this was a completely different experience. My beautician was Marina, and I don't think I have ever come across someone so rude - why she works in such a customer facing role is beyond me?? I received a grunt on arrival, and whilst getting undressed she simply walked in the room without knocking - the door directly faces the Salon's entrance so I was very shocked and had to quickly cover myself. Initially she used wax strips on me, rather than hot wax which was extremely painful, because the hot wax wasn't ready yet. Apparently they had no one covering reception so when we heard the phone ring Marina ran out of the room, and she literally threw a towel to me to cover my dignity - which then proceeded to stick to my skin as she had left hot wax on me. I genuinely tried to make conversation, but it was like drawing blood from a stone - when you're having something like a wax done you want to be made to feel at ease, but Marina made me feel the complete opposite. Once the wax was finished I would expect the beautician to leave the room so that I can get dressed, instead; Marina made it extremely awkward by tidying up around me whilst a laid on the bed waiting for her to leave - when it was obvious that she wasn't going to leave the room I had to get dressed in front of her whilst she changed the bed!!!!! I was totally disgusted, and when I left the salon she didn't even say goodbye. The wax was slap-dash and so was the quality. If Marina cannot provide the service a customer deserves in the 15 minute slot allocated, then Regency Beauty should extend her time slots, or better still, replace her.
I had half leg, bikini and shellac nails all of which were of good quality. The therapist was professional and knowledgeable. The surroundings are pleasant and relaxing as well as being spotlessly clean. I would return definitely for further treatments.
I have received a very good shellac polish manicure, however the beautician who did my treatment was not very friendly. She criticised my choice of colour for my manicure, the state of my nails before treating them and criticised a treatment I had received at another salon. We sat in silence for 35 minutes while she painted my nails, and I felt a bit uncomfortable throughout the treatment. A real shame as the result was a good manicure but a Friday night treat ended up being a bit of a downer.
