He has transferred from a hands on myofascial and sports therapist to work more specific to movement and rehabilitation Combining the knowledge he has learnt over the years with movement and strength based rehab to get people from injured back to what they love doing Matt has a keen interest in exercise and sport and also a real passion in human movement learning from some good names in the industry After suffering plenty of injuries himself in the past he set about understanding human movement and the role it can play in injury and rehab Alongside the 1:1 sessions he does he has designed mobility programs which he will continue to provide focusing on getting individuals to move better and reduce the risk of non contact injuries He has treated a wide variety of individuals from athletes to office workers. After being diagnosed with ME aged 16, Rachel began researching alternative therapies. She found it fascinating and benefitted from different treatments. Aged 20 she achieved a diploma in aromatherapy full body massage. Since then she has gone on to deliver treatments to clients over the last 24 years, making her a valued and experienced member of our team. Following her own chronic neck pain she received treatment from Mathew Jerome, and this inspired her to train and develop her skills in Myofascial Release, and she is now qualified to Level 2 in Integtrated Myofascial Release Therapy to add to the long list of therapies she delivers. Rachel’s treatments also include: Angelic reiki, Indian head massage, Hot stone massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology sports massage deep tissue massage and oncology massage plus facials and paraffin wax heat therapy.
Mathew specialises in treating long standing chronic pain anywhere in the body, persistent muscle injuries, TMJ release, neck and shoulder issues, headaches/migraines, sports injuries, whiplash, frozen shoulders, knee pain and post operation scar tissue release. He embraces everybody and fully understands that everyone is unique, therefore, whether you are an Office Worker, Runner, Cross Fit Athlete, an Heroic Mum (because all mums are) or simply wishing to maintain a pain free quality of life, Mathew will have a Bespoke Treatment Plan for you. Mathew has had the opportunity to work with and consult on rehabilitation with professional footballers, boxers, golfers, and opera singers to name a few, and is a strong believer that quality of care is provided by understanding the person as a whole, and feels that pain/dysfunction should be observed from many angles. He understands that it is important to appreciate the work that goes into the recovery process and has attended multiple continuing education courses to broaden his horizons. He is a firm follower of holistic therapies, and will often give advice to clients about diet and exercise, in between educating you about how your body works – be sure to ask lots of questions!!
