Manicurist didn’t come in. Had to wait 45 Mins but ended up with a good manicure.

I’ve been to this salon three times and I feel I have to be honest here. The first time I came I felt like the technician did a good job my nails looked nice and the place seemed cool, quirky decor, good location etc. Within two days my shellac had cracked. I returned to get this fixed, however the technician couldn’t understand what I was trying to ask for and used such a harsh grain to file my nails that it filed through the skin next to my nail and drew blood. She then put the used file back in the pot, it should have been disposed of. Who knows how many times that’s happened before. Eventually I came away with pretty, if unevenly shaped nails that lasted well, so I came back again. I booked a daytime appointment online through Treatwell and had an email saying the salon had changed the time of my appointment. I made room for this later appointment by moving plans around. I arrived early for my appointment and I was kept waiting for 45 minutes! 45 minutes on a valuable Saturday afternoon is NOT ok, another woman was seen before me who showed up later and had an appointment 15 minutes after mine, I thought this was because the technician I had booked in with was occupied but it wasn’t even her that worked on my nails. I finally left almost THREE HOURS after I arrived, the owner tried to blame it all on Treatwell and made my pay the full fee for the privilege of being messed about, I left in floods of tears, having missed dinner/movie plans. This was meant to be a relaxing treat instead it was stressful, humiliating and depressing. I’m sorry I just think this place is really weird and if you book with them be prepared for a huge delay. I’ve already booked my next nail appointment elsewhere.
