The salon has a really good vibe to it and nice nail technicians but I had a really poor gel polish manicure so had to mark it down. I came in for the Treatwell Festive Mani and the lady doing my nails really struggled sticking the stars stickers on my nails. She applied so much nail glue to try make them stick that they became piled really high (they're just meant to be thin stickers) and still had corners that weren't properly stuck down. After I left, a few hours later, one of the stars had already come off so I returned to get it reapplied.
I saw a different technician with a wholly different technique, and she was surprised when I told her that the other lady had tried to stick them down with the nail glue - this second technician had stickers that looked self-adhesive (the others weren't sticky at all), and was really quick to apply and finish off.
Nevertheless a few days later another two stars had come off and after only one week a full gel coat on one of my nails completely came off...
It was a really poor quality manicure, and I'd paid extra to have this special 'festive mani'. But i'm also amazed that the different nail technicians don't share the best techniques, so customers receive consistently quality manicures?
