I was very pleasantly surprised by Rachel! She is the kindest and friendliest I have seen in a nail salon! I will definitely return with friends and for a coffee for the ambiance is so calm and relaxing! The dream coffee shop from where you leave with great tips on how to care for your nails and a meticulously finished manicure! The things I loved when I went for a simple manicure? not only they treat you very kindly, they wrap your hands in steamed towels and give you a hand massage to finish with! All efficiently done in 45 mins. Need I say more?! Pop in there and you will never go anywhere else for nails and coffee!
I really wanted to love this place, it’s cute, convenient and my initial manicure looked great. However, two nails began peeling within 3 days. I returned a week later due to work commitments and there were no issues from the manager to get this sorted.
The technician merely filed the nail down to where the gel was not peeling and tried to palm me off with that!! I was so shocked that she thought this was acceptable. Everyone with shellac experience knows that once you break the top coat barrier, water gets in between the nail and shellac and it peels. When I said I wanted the two nails redone, she acted like I was a massive inconvenience to her and left me sitting with nail clips for 20 minutes! She rushed painting the two nails so they are uneven and did not bother adding tip hardener. After 40 minutes with her acting as if I’d just committed some dreadful crime, I didn’t mention anything as I just wanted to get out of that place. Funnily enough, as soon as I returned to the office after this episode, another nail chipped.
It seems they are very sweet when taking your money, but have no interest in client care or retention. Luckily there are plenty of salons in the vicinity.
