This salon is in the back of one of those tacky gift shops you see all around central London, so is very much lacking in ambience. The salon itself is clean but clinical.
I was shown to my treatment room and left to get ready - the bed was so high that I had to jump to get onto it. AC was on at full blast so room was freezing, and a large TV mounted to the wall played the Big Bang Theory, which remained on throughout the treatment.
My therapist was very brusque when she came in; there was no conversation or even pleasantries and when the waxing began she slapped the wax on like she couldn’t wait for it to be over (which to be fair, neither could I) and then whipped it off as quickly as it had gone on. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt.
It wasn’t a relaxing experience - okay, so a bikini wax generally isn’t, but usually the therapists I have go out of their way to make it as comfortable as possible.
This was my first time here as where I usually go was fully booked, but I will not be returning.
