Double-dipping in the pot - that's unsanitary. Wax pot looked disgusting. Rushed job, left wax everywhere because couldn't be bothered to turn the wax on the spatula so as to not leave wax strings everywhere. Impatient yanking and not waiting for the wax to harden enough meant taking several attempts to pull the same strip off - and failing - it was painful and caused bruising - no apology of course, and not pulling the hair from the same side - poor technique - probably will get bad ingown hairs from this. A brazilian usually takes a full 30 minutes and this was done in 10 minutes - 15 max, rushed unprofessional job. This was the worst wax I have ever had. I'd say only 30% of the hair was actually taken off, some patches hadn't been waxed at all, such as the bikini area!! Patches that still had hair left - she didn't do a second strip on them. Also no disinfectant and no talc. Worst post-wax swelling and redness I've ever had. The venue itself was ok.
It was a beautiful location, the woman who did the pedicure was lovely, but the value of the treatment was very low. It was a poor pedicure and minimal selection option for an expensive "luxury pedicure." This was not the fault of the woman who did the pedicure, but what the spa offers. Additionally, I booked at 3:50 pm, but the spa closed at 5 pm. Since it was cold outside, I had hoped to have time to let my nails dry prior to leaving, but as my nails were not painted until 4:45 pm, they did not have time to dry. The spa does not even offer temporary slippers to wear, so in the end, they had to remove my nail polish, and I ended up walking out in basically the same situation I came in.
