A few years ago, unhappy with my work life and feeling no sense of fulfilment, I took the plunge and quit corporate life. Without knowing where this would take me, I started with a 3-month volunteer marine conservation expedition in Fiji. This changed my life and eventually led me to another trip, this time in India. I could come up with all kinds of clichés about spiritual awakenings or finding yourself, but India really did teach me some important lessons. Most importantly, its where I initially found my love for massage. I undertook courses, firstly in Goa and then amongst the Himalayas. My tutor in Goa was himself taught by the great Indian philosopher “Osho”. With this kind of training I really started to understand about the benefits of massage, both with the body and with the mind. I started to really feel that massage was something I could do well and it allowed me to have a direct, positive impact on people’s lives. It was the job fulfilment I had been craving for years. We all have a responsibility to make this world a little better and I think massage enables me to play my small part in that. I am really passionate about massage and at the forefront of my thinking is always the understanding that every client is unique and has individual needs. Listening to what the client actually wants is of upmost importance to me
I am a self employed massage therapist and am conveniently located above Stage One hairdressers, amongst The Lanes on Bond Street and minutes away from Brighton Station. A bit about my training and experience. A few years ago I travelled to India to retrain as a massage therapist. I really enjoyed the style of teaching as it was very much focused on your quality of touch and maintaining the holistic understanding of the interconnectedness of the body. I studied many techniques both musculoskeletal and energetic. These had been developed by the tutors from their own experience of many different Eastern and Western modalities.
A consultation is provided before any treatment so that I can focus on your individual needs and provide a bespoke service just for you.
