I had booked in for a wash and blow dry for long hair (£40) during my hours lunch break. I was greeted by friendly staff and the overall feel of the salon was buzzing and all the staff were hard at work. My stylist took me to the seat where he asked what I wanted where I said bouncy big curls nothing tight and to be done with brushes. He took me over and washed my hair and was one of the most relaxing hair washes I’ve had products used smelt nice. When we went to blow dry my hair he said he’d rough dry and then style - he dried it until was dead straight and bone dry took around 35 mins to do that where he then got his hair straighteners out to curl my hair with, I then said I really didn’t like my hair curled with straighteners and he said it will won’t be tight and will be bouncy waves like I requested. It wasn’t and I was really unhappy I’ve actually returned to work and put my hair in a bun. Blow dries should be done with brushes and shouldn’t be advertised as blow dries if they’re going to be styled with tools. I’m going to have to redo my own which is exactly what I didn’t want to do so although started on a good night I left the salon bitterly dissatisfied.
