I had a men's haircut with the style director.
The salon itself is delightful. Bright, smart and seemingly well appointed. There's storage behind every mirrored unit and jackets etc are stored there while you have your hair done which keeps them secure from anyone else's belongings. After arriving you're invited to sit on a bar stool which is uncomfortable and unnecessarily conspicuous, and for that reason I took a point off for ambience.
The salon is extremely clean. The top of the reception desk could do with respraying and a bit of a polish down the front where feet have hit it but there's no cause to give anything less than full marks for cleanliness. I didn't catch the style director's name but I can say he had short light hair and some tatoos on his arms. He was intelligent, attentive, polite and understood what I wanted. The small talk struck the appropriate balance between friendly and intrusive.
The actual haircut was about as good as they could do with the length I had. I had a restyle, and the cutting was first class. I wasn't soaked when he washed my hair and neither burned me nor made me shudder with cold. I came out looking a lot better and felt quite good about myself which is no easy task to accomplish!
I paid £22.50 for the style director and reviewed value for money on that basis (which was 50% off). I wouldn't give full marks if it was £45.
Very happy with the experience and I'll remain loyal to them now. I'm not someone who casually clicks full marks or 1 star without giving much critical thought to how to evaluate something, but on this occasion they earned the marks I gave.
Great, really pleased.. Listened and did what I asked with professionalism. One thing.... If only a good head massage was included... I suffer from stress in my scalp and it's so important to me
Great cut and finish
