Overall the stylist who did my hair did a great job I’d like to clarify. The overall experience was a bit of a let down though.
When entering the salon, the reception staff are extremely unwelcoming, didn’t smile or make me feel welcome. It was only the stylist who when I sat down with, greeted me with a smile.
I was barely spoken to which made me feel like I shouldn’t be there. I almost felt like because I was using a discount rate i was less important.
Aswell, I was hit with an additional £35 charge for a toner and olaplex treatment at the end. The stylish advised me he was putting them on but didn’t tell me it would cost more (I would have politely declined) till the end when finishing. I should have been asked if I wanted these additional treatments as they were costly. There is a reason people use Treatwell for discounts and they probably couldn’t afford it normally.
The girl who did my hair, Joanna was lovely and did exactly what I wanted and I would come back to see her. However what let's this place down is the people on reception who are far more interested in their own conversations than helping you out. I'd been waiting a good 10 minutes to pay because they were processing another customers booking ( which is fair enough) but then instead of serving me to let me pay the girl just turned her back and started talking to the other girls there. Totally unprofessional and not what I expect from a top hairdressers in Manchester.
