Firstly, the girls that run this salon are wonderful. They are very friendly and kind.
The salon is beautifully decorated and kept clean.
Unfortunately, my gel manicure was just not up to scratch. The colour was beautiful but the manicure was rough. My nails were made super short by cutting and filing after I said to keep the length and just give a quick file. But hey, okay, that happens sometimes and maybe they just needed a trim because they were weak, I don’t know.
My cuticles were cut so short my fingers were really sore for hours after.
And then the gel - first, they put on a layer of nail glue before the base without saying anything. This is not okay! My nails really don’t cope well with glue! Then multiple coats of very thick gel by DND (who I’d never heard of). please be aware their selection of shellac or OPI is very minimal. By the end of it I felt like I was wearing drug store fake nails it was so thick!
I took them off at home shortly after resigning to the fact I hated them.
Such a shame. The girls are lovely and the experience was positive, but the manicure fell really short for what I expected from £30!
