I booked an appointment at Peint through wowcher and thought I had got a bargain. To be honest it wasn't a complete disaster as the staff were friendly, salon was clean and I loved the Moroccan decor. But I will say that I don't think if you buy the mani-pedi deal from wowcher that you're getting a good deal. My main concern is that the deal states that it is a manicure and a pedicure however, my feet felt quite underwelmed once I left. As this was my first time getting a pedicure I didn't expect more than a paint job. But after going home and (for some strange reason), looking up what a pedicure is meant to include I realised that I hadn't received a foot scrub and the dead skin still remained on my feet. Initially I thought that maybe the beautician didn't realise that this is part of a pedicure and I must say that she gave my feet and hands a lovely massage. So in all I am certain that I would not be buying this deal nor will I be going to this salon again as I still have to go and get the calluses removed from my feet but I will say she did a lovely paint job and hopefully they will include the full pedicure for their next client.
I booked a manicure & pedicure off wowcher which states worth £49 and paid £15. Regardless of how much I paid, the entire experience was horrific, the lady did not offer me any service. Not only did she not cut or shape or paint my nails accurately she left dead skin all over my feet. Basically paid to have my nails painted for what is was worth she did a really poor rushed job 30 mins for both my hands and feet. No foot scrub, no hand massage. I have never had a pedicure or manicure like this EVER!!! DO NOT EVEN GO THERE!!!
I just had a pedicure which firstly the most uncomfortable one I have ever experienced since I had to hold my foot up on the technicians knees! Not relaxing at all. Then I found out that they do not even buff the hard skin from you feet for £29 I had to pay £46 for that privilege Anca was lovely and I saw that she mentioned to the owner that I was not happy so I was surprised that when I went to pay she did not mention anything. Not was it ok, or I heard you were unhappy. Obviously Tristen doesn't like confrontation but I have never had such terrible service when getting a pedicure and I have had them all over the world. As you can guess I will not be going again and can honestly say that I have never posted anything before but was very disappointed.
I recently had acrylic nails applied for the first time ever (not at Peint) after 3 weeks I was desperate to have them removed but I was also concerned that it would be painful/unpleasant. How lucky I was to locate local, friendly, professional and very reasonably priced Peint! -considering the time element and the art of removing the acrylic nails (Georgie was gentle and thorough, she also reassured me about the condition of my own nails and suggested a good money saving tip to strengthen them-leave them free of varnish etc for 2-3 weeks enabling them to breath) Peint is not a nail bar! it is a warm and inviting nail salon, where you are welcomed by really lovely staff, offered refreshments and taken care of. A combination of the contemporary Moroccan theme decor, gentle background music and all of the above will i'm sure make Peint a great success! Best wishes to the owners Kirsten and her brother (who I was also very fortunate to have met at my appointment) and staff. I'll be returning in 3 weeks when my own nails have grown and need some TLC! Thank you
