I had a lovely massage from Amy, who concentrated on the areas I asked her to, and avoided my knee, as requested. I felt so relaxed afterwards! And the new venue, although not very prepossessing on the street-level, is really nice downstairs.
The treatment itself was good, although they ask you to fill in a form showing areas of concern etc. and I don't think my therapist actually paid any attention to that. She did perform an excellent massage in terms of technique but unfortunately it was very uneven which really bothers me, she spent a while massaging one hand but didn't massage the other hand at all and this happened with other areas of my body too. Very odd.
Walking into this place you will wonder if it's safe to go inside or not, upstairs is like an old unused food store? There is no sign except a printed out piece of paper stuck to the window. Once you get downstairs it is much better, the spa itself is nice and the treatment room was large with a bathtub on one end and a sauna. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a good heating system so they rely on a small noisy fan heater during your treatment to keep the room warm...
Overall I would recommend if you just need to get some knots out but not for an ultimately relaxing experience. I look forward to seeing the development of this little spa once they can get something good going on upstairs.
