Took a bit of finding as it’s downstairs in a shopfront that’s being refurbished- but as soon as I descended it was candles and spa design that gave the right ambience. I was a bit surprised to realise that the Treatwell price is more expensive than the prices advertised in the actual spa, and I still had to pay the treatwell price in cash before my treatment unfortunately- I will book directly in future. The masseuse was great, checking in with me about my goal for the massage, pressure, areas that needed work etc. I’m used to choosing a scent or having the scent to breathe in for an aromatherapy massage, which didn’t happen here - although I loved the geranium scent that was used.
Therapist kept discreetly reaching for her phone off the sideboard and using it with one hand whilst trying to massage with the other hand thinking I wouldn’t notice. This happened about 10-12 times during the 30 minute massage. I may be lying face down with my head through a hole but I’m not stupid.
Not impressed.
