I was sadly disappointed with the overall service at Opulence Spa. I arrived earlier than my appointment to find no one at the reception desks. I walked to the hotels main reception desk, and still no one. I walked around calling out if anyone was there. The waiting room was very bare with no refreshments/magazines. Finally staff arrived and demanded me to pay now, I said I’d rather wait till after the massage but they insisted for 15mins (I still said no). I found the service aggressive.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had.
No water, no tea or coffee, there was no one actually at the front desk for half an hour (my friend and I came together but she had to wait as there was only one masseuse.) Lobby looked abandoned with boxes dumped behind the desk.
I came to have this treatment because I've recently been through a bereavement, and frankly it was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent. They did give us £4 back, but that doesn't make up for it.

The therapist was very welcoming and chatty and the massage she gave was very professional. The room was relaxing and clean. Would happily go back!

It seemed a bit of a strange set up when I walked in, however the massage room was very relaxing, the massage was great and the therapist did a very good job on my very bad back. I would definitely go back.
