I went with my friend, who had never had a massage before. She really enjoyed it, whereas I considered leaving before our time was up. I suppose it's down to the masseuse. Hers often checked in with her, explained the process, gave her advice. Mine applied too much pressure to begin with, then seemed offended when I asked if she could be a bit more gentle. At three separate occasions I recoiled in pain - far from the relaxing event I expected! Glad my friend enjoyed it, but I won't return.
