Fab hair colour, cut and blow dry, by Bita. Great value for money, nice venue.
Really elated, the stylist did fantastic work on my hair, probably the best cut I’ve ever had which makes the value of this salon even more incredible. Stylists all seem passionate and skilled. Not my first time here but always given five star treatment. Atmosphere is cozy without being pretentious and they keep the wine flowing which is a nice touch. Will go again and recommend, thanks guys!!
I had the Wash, Cut, Luxury Conditioning Treatment and Blow Dry. This was my first experience at this particular place. I really hate writing negative reviews - but i was honestly super disappointed with the experience. I feel I was just unlucky with the hairdresser i got (Bita), as everyone else seemed to have such a good experience with other hairdressers. The positive reviews is precisely why i chose this place! The wash - I had to ask the water to be much cooler, she practically burned my scalp and it hurt! Such a basic thing that shouldn't have happened. She was so rough with washing my hair, which was uncomfortable. The 'Luxury conditioning treatment' was nothing other than a regular conditioner which felt rushed and was rinsed off pretty much the second it was applied. Then as i got back to my chair and she removed the towel, she struggled to remove it then just yanked the towel off and i felt several hairs snap! The cut - I have long, straight hair all one length and requested a simple trim (cut straight across). I am trying to grow my hair really long, so I have had this exact cut regularly and have done so though various other London hairdressers over the past 3 years. Again, this cut just felt so rushed and made me feel as though there was no precision. She also did this odd thing (which i have never experienced before) where she split my hair down the middle, brought it to the front and chopped off this big chunk. Nonetheless, the cut was not entirely straight. I only noticed this after i got home and had a friend also analyse it. The blowdry- HORRIBLE. Of all the hairdressers i've ever been to - they all semi dry the hair, THEN bring out the barrel brush to dry straight. It's common sense right. She didn't do this. With my hair still really wet, she brought out the barrel brush and started drying the hair piece by piece, (with the nozzle directly touching the hair) going over each small section at least 50 times. Once again she really hurt my scalp, by leaving the blowdryer on my scalp for too long. It happened several times. As a result, my hair became dry and frizzy and you never would have guessed that it was blow dried by a 'professional'. I have pin straight oriental hair and usually leave my hair to air dry. It is in good condition and after my experience it was burned and dried out at the ends. I decided to wait over a week to write this review, so that i could have time to really analyse the result of the haircut & blowdry. I can now safely say my ends are damaged and coarse after that experience. I will certainly be going somewhere else much sooner than expected in order to remove the damage done. I was clearly unlucky with getting Bita as my hairdresser - she was polite, but i feel she needs to review her technique & be re trained on basic things. I've had my hair cut & blow dried by hairdressing students in the past and still had much better results than i did with her...
Happy with the service. Speedy but not rushed. Gave me exactly what I asked for.
Been before and had great highlights so thought would go back again! This time I was there for 3 and a half hours only to find that I barely look like I have had my roots done at all! When I went to work the next day I even had people asking if my appointment had been cancelled or something and very surprised faces when I said nope I had in fact been for highlights for 3 and a half hours! Asked for as bright as possible and ash colour and was made to pay for a toner (previously I went had no toner and hair looked great!) but the toner was put in for about 60 seconds when usually I have a toner left in for about 10 minutes when I previously have has this! I was last in the salon and everything felt very rushed hence why about 60 seconds was spent on the toner as she seemed more concerned about getting to shops before they closed! Was then made to pay for £10 toner and when I said I'm not too happy about paying for a toner as I wasn't pleased with colour and it was barely on for 1 minute she argued that it had worked even though I clearly wasn't happy but as I was getting upset I decided just to pay as I couldn't wait to get out and sort my hair out myself as hair looked crazy after a very rushed blow dry! Such a shame as gentleman I had last time did a brilliant job and this time I was extremely disappointed!
