I had a wash, cut, conditioning treatment and blow dry with Emile. The salon is a small one located in Soho. Emile was friendly and welcoming. I was offered a cup of tea on arrival and he listened to exactly what I wanted done to my hair. I am very happy with the cut and the blow dry.

I did not enjoy my visit to Gusto. My haircut was rushed - my hairdresser did not sit me down before beginning to discuss what I wanted or evaluate my hair. Instead, I was bundled into the backwash by an assistant upon arriving. When I did finally speak to my hairdresser, he offered no discussion as to what we could do - instead relied on my instruction entirely. I am not a hair expert, and I don't know what will suit my hair. That is why I come to you, for advice and expertise.
As the hairdresser had not seen my hair whilst dry, midway through my haircut he let slip that he assumed my hair was curly - and that he had been cutting it to accommodate for that. My hair is as poker straight as hair can get. He looked panicked, and seemed - but ultimately failed - to fix it. I have ends that are staggered and frayed, designed to suit a waterfall of curls, that look awful in my hair. What upsets me most is that a 5 minute conversation with me prior to the wash could have avoided all this.
That being said, his blow dry was good. He blow dried it with a wave and was obviously very talented at this particular skill. Whilst I liked how it looked, it was to cover up the aforementioned curly/straight hair disaster - he did not consult me on how I would like my hair blown, he just did it. Having washed it myself and tried to wear it straight, it looks terrible.
I will not be returning, due to the carelessness of staff here.

I loved my haircut and colour! I wasn't sure of what to have and the lady that did my hair suggested idea and i went with it. The colour turned out great and not to mention how amazing my blow dry was too!
I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
