Great location and service - lovely friendly staff and the nibbles and drinks were an added bonus! I'm not always entirely confident about what it is that I am looking for, so I always appreciate when colourists and stylists assert their opinion and tell you what they would advise and what would look good (they are the experts after all) - this could have been better but that's my only suggestion. Saying that, my hair looks great and the colour too!
Staff were really welcoming and friendly. The guy who did the blowdry was very consciousness. The end result was good value for the 18 pounds I paid- just don't expect the same quality as a more expensive job.
Oh dear.. one tip: please, please get a better cleaner. The place was filthy! And i don't only mean hair everywhere (it is a hair salon after all), but disgusting, old clusters of dust on the hairdryers, hairdressers carts were a dirty mess, the utensils could use a proper disinfect and polish too for my eye. I know it's old soho, but a fresh lick of paint on the walls is not all- the salon felt dirty. My hairdresser was very much in love with himself (again, nothing THAT unusual), but I just didn't enjoy him not listening to my preferences because "he knows his job". That may well be - but he didn't know, nor paid attention to my preferences. The only question he was really interested in was HOW OFTEN do I book hairdressers, which he paid attention to trying to have me book the next app at the check out. Overall: seriously not too impressed. Colour is alright, but blow dry .. lacked attention to detail (he really wanted to finish his shift).
When I booked this cut my partner reminded me that I had previously had a bad experience at this salon and I almost bailed. I'm so glad I didn't, Miro was polite and professional and this is genuinely one of the best haircuts I've had in years. I will definitely be going back.
