Have been here before and had a great cut and blow dry by Sara, but had someone different this time and was really disappointed. I had to insist on the stylist hurrying up after more than an hour (for a straighforward trim on mid length hair) and finally left about 20 minutes later. After repeatedly spraying me in the face with cold water when washing my hair, the blowdry was unpleasant. She left hair brushes dangling off my head, pulling and tangling my hair and managed to give me an enormous puffy bob such that I ended up washing and restyling my hair as soon as I got home. The cut is not terrible but looks pretty basic, feels like a waste of time and money and won't be going back.
The hairdresser did not seem comfortable or confident dealing with curly hair and seemed extremely reluctant to offer advice. He also got the brush so tangled in my hair whilst blowdrying, he needed two hands to pull it out - ouch. I liked the cut (I mean, it was a trim so...) and the blowdry was lovely and bouncy but it wasn't a particularly enjoyable experience for me. It's a shame as my friend regularly comes here and likes it, but it wasn't for me.
Really liked it! I believe Yuri? cut my hair, he was brilliant. They were running 30 min late when I got there so offered me wine and updated me regularly on my wait. The shampoo was great and the cut really nice, I was really happy and will definitely come back. I was recommended the place by a friend and will now recommend to other friends!
I was extremely happy with my experience at Gusto. The staff were all very nice. The hairdresser I had did a great job and I was really pleased with my blow dry. The only complaint I had was that the guidelines for hair length on the Treatwell website aren't quite the same as those in the salon. I booked a wash and blow dry for short hair because the Treatwell website says short hair is jawlength and above. I have a graduated curly bob which comes down to my jawline. So I was expecting to pay £15. However when I got there he said short hair was like his length (a male cut i.e. Short back and sides) and that my hair was medium length, not short. So I ended up paying £19 not £15. It wasn't the end of the world, and to be completely fair, I went in there with my naturally curly hair and he blow dried it straight which took a bit longer and no hair straighteners were used (brilliant!) so I did not mind in the slightest paying the extra. It was worth it! I would definitely go back there.
